Are You Ready For My Linux Desktop?

I thought I could join all of this years ”Is Linux Ready For The Desktop” buzz, but in a slightly different way, because Linux is certainly ready for my desktop 8-).

My Linux Desktop

From left to right:

  • my Nintendo DS runnning DSLinux
  • my NSLU2 runnig Debian
  • my media box (center) running Arch Linux and XFCE (no TFT yet)
  • a Linksys WRT54G router running OpenWRT
  • another Linksys WRT54G router running FreeWRT
  • my Dell workstation running Arch Linux and Awesome
  • my Asus 1000h running Arch Linux and LXDE

Is Linux ready for your desktop as well? If yes, pictures! Or it didn't happen :-P!

PS.: I obviously have Internet at home, yay!

I'm way too old to like such childish things, remember? This pillow just happened to have a spongobob on it when I bought it ;-).

You deal with three different destop environments? Isn't that annoying?

There is also an spongebob sitting on your WRT54G's! ;-) So i second Tantes opionion of you being a spongebob-fanboy! Check your underwear! ;-)

You should get yourself a proper comfortable chair, the cushion won't be necessary ;)

Not really, to me these are 3 different tools, I use the main XFCE desktop mainly for media stuff (Internet, mail, image manipulation, watching videos etc.), the dell is my coding box and a tiling WM works pretty well for this taks, and the netbook is for being mobile etc..

And I don't have spongebob underwear!

:-) Good point, the chair is indeed a problem, but proper chairs aren't cheap.
